Hi, ladies and gents (if there is anyone still following this blog), I know it’s been a while. I’ve been thinking about writing in here. Kept telling myself I would; that I just needed some new design, some news for you. A gentle cough from an awesome reader reminded me that I really need to poke my head in here, regardless, and give you and update.
I’m alive. Tired, but alive. I’ve been picking up some overtime at work and so sleep has been a precious commodity and brain power slightly lacking.
But feel free to grab a cup of tea and some knitting and join me for a quick update.
And I’m drinking Plum Deluxe’s Oregon Breakfast Decaf Tea, in case you were wondering. I had forgotten the nice little bit of natural sweetness this tea has to it. I think it’s going to be my go-to tea most of the time on my days off. And the tea leaves are good for two brewings, so all the better.
Since we last chatted, I’ve been on a little bit of an owl binge. I finished yet another York the Owl and just started another one. Not that I’m betraying my bunnies; I’ll probably start a new Oops the Bunny once I finish the owl and get a chance to raid my stash again.
The first owl is crocheted with some Undead Yarn in the Smaug’s Treasure colorway and the 2nd owl uses some leftover yarn from a pair of socks made out of Miss Babs Yowza Whatta Skein in the Wreckless Dancing colorway.

Lesson learned: I need to make the next size up. This fits, but is a little snug. This is why I design toys. Gauge is unimportant.
As for design news, the current design is still in the works. It’s going to be another big toy and I might have to make the testing time a little longer. It all depends on how much time ________ detail takes me. The designs might be coming slower than I want them too this year, with the overtime I’m having to pick up, but I’m hoping to see an improvement once things get readjusted at work. Least I can do is give you a sneak peak, though.

Aren’t I generous?
That’s it from me. Except, maybe I should consider making some bookmarks. Seriously, I have gotten so many books, my one knitted bookmark has been getting so much abuse. It might be nice to have some backups. Or I can cross-stitch the bookmark pattern given to me.

I seriously love this bookmark. Oh, and the book is awesome too.
So many decisions. Much too little time.
Until the next eon when we meet again!
God Bless,
Tahlia

Work is nice but a good sleep too Tahlia. I’m curious to your new design. And I’m glad the cough of Valeria did his work.

Oh, I definitely have been indulging in sleep; my body makes sure I do. I get nap-attacked if I don’t plan in appropriate sleep time. Which is why I’m actually online a little later than usual tonight. Heh. I hope I can get the new design out sooner rather than later, but I have resigned myself to the fact that it might take a little longer than I want it to. I am very unfocused and want to knit (and crochet) all the things.
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. And yay for Vleer’s cough!
God Bless,
Tahlia
