Back on my nightshift schedule, so posts will now be coming to you a few times a week and very late at night.
Yes, vacation is now over.
I can’t really complain, though. In the period of two weeks that I’ve been off, I’ve completed two patterns and released both of them for testing (Bastet the Siamese Cat and York the Owl). So quite a productive vacation overall, even in spite of being awake during the day like normal people.
I was hoping to have some pictures of the lunar eclipse for y’all tonight, but alas, the blood moon is hiding behind the clouds here in Virginia and I have yet to see it with my own two eyes. So a little sad about that. A friend of mine got some good pictures which she posted on Facebook, but it’s still not the same as seeing it in person. I am very grateful that I am not working in the hospital tonight though. Weird things happen in hospitals with full moons. I can’t imagine what a lunar eclipse would do.
Anyway, design stuff.
No one design was demanding to be started after the owl. As I mentioned in my last post, I’m still very much in love with my owl and at the point of wanting to make ten million of them. So I picked an animal off of The List at a whim and began my sketch. I kind of like the way he looks, so I’m hoping I can work out what I kind of have on my head and on paper. We shall see when I start the actual designing process. The actual crocheting might happen tomorrow or over the weekend. I’m not really in a rush after having knocked out two designs in rapid succession. You guys are welcome to start making your guesses as to what the next design will be, though.
In other business, if you have already bought the Timmy the Turtle pattern, check your email or Ravelry accounts for the pattern update. I think that you’ll find that it’s a good one; I like it, anyway.
No picture this week, but I hope to have some other finished owl pictures or the like in weeks to come.
Thanks so much for continuing to read!
